LETTER FROM HP'S CEO
For 80 years, we have known that the
surest path to growth and prosperity
comes from putting our shared humanity at
the center of everything we do.
This is the very essence of HP—empow-
ering the next generation of thinkers and
doers and enriching the real-world experi-
ences of people everywhere.
Our constant quest to
push the limits of
human potential and
enable new kinds
of human prog-
ress is the engine
that drives us
forward—and it’s
what first drew me
to the company three
decades ago.
When I was a university student in Spain,
a group of HP engineers came to my school
to share their passion for innovation. And
that opened my eyes to a new world of
possibilities. It taught me that imagina-
tion has no bounds, and it inspired me to
join HP as an intern, where I dreamed of
doing the impossible.
All these years later, I remain inspired by
our company’s unique ability to bring out
the best of humanity through the power
of technology. And it has never been more
important than it is today.
Our industry is at an inflection point.
The rise of new technologies, powered
by data, are fundamentally changing
the way people live and the way compa-
nies operate. Business models are shifting
from product-based transactions to out-
come-based services and solutions.
And our customers have new
expectations we must meet,
ranging from security to
sustainability.
These trends create excit-
ing new opportunities
for our people and our
business—and we have
a clear strategy that will
guide us forward.

TRANSFORM.
We will build on our
strengths to advance
our leadership in Per-
sonal Systems and
Printing. It’s time to
challenge the status quo
and create entirely new
customer experiences
that pave the way for-
ward for these two large,
dynamic markets.
We will leverage our tech-
nology to disrupt industrial

markets. The shift from analog to digital
will accelerate across industries, while tech-
nologies like 3D Printing and microfluidics
will change the way the world designs and
manufactures. The next frontier is to create
true segments of one by delivering person-
alization at scale.
And we will transform the way we work as
a company by investing in talent and capa-
bilities needed to win in the future. The
innovators of tomorrow will be those who
combine the power of data with the promise
of technology to achieve new breakthroughs
and solve tough problems.
Importantly, as we push the limits of what’s
possible, we will never lose sight of what’s
right. Throughout our history, we have
proven that doing well and doing good are
not mutually exclusive. In fact, we believe
improving the world and improving our
bottom line are one and the same. Deliv-
ering a sustainable impact—on our planet,
people and communities—has never been
more important, and companies like ours
must be beacons of progress.
A NEW CHAPTER
We are on the doorstep of incredible oppor-
tunity. To capitalize, we must summon the
ingenuity to reimagine what’s possible for
our customers, our business and our world;
to harness our relentlessly innovative spirit
in new ways for a new time; and to write a
new chapter in the story of this extraordi-
nary company.
At the end of the day, we create technology
that helps people tap into their limitless
potential. As we begin this new chapter, I’ve
never been more energized about what we
can achieve.
