At DON ’ T HIDE IT , FLAUNT IT , our mission is to advance understanding , acceptance , tolerance and mutual respect for each person ’ s visible and invisible differences .
We encourage people of all ages to “ flaunt ” their own differences and embrace and celebrate what makes each of us unique . Our programs empower kids , teens and adults to unconditionally accept themselves and each other , building a culture of inclusion in homes , schools , workplaces and communities .
We invite you ( or a family member ) to join us by creating and sharing your own essay or artwork inspired by DHIFI ’ s theme “ The things that make me different make me , me !” The submission should describe how you have learned to embrace and celebrate what makes you unique and what you want others to know about it .
