HP LASERJET The first HP LaserJet desktop printer was a technological leap forward from the other printers of the day that used noisy dot-matrix or daisy-wheel units . Building on HP ’ s knowledge of inkjet and laser printer technology , the printer allowed many more fonts to be used , was almost silent , and fit on top of a desk , creating a totally new consumer-printer market .
