How award-winning adventure photographer Jody MacDonald is documenting people and places closer to home .

NTIL THE PANDEMIC SIDELINED much of her jet-setting , Jody MacDonald spent more days on the road than not for National Geographic , the BBC , and other outlets , photographing endangered habitats and remote landscapes from a paraglider , helicopter , or catamaran . While she recently returned from Turkey , her first assignment since the start of the pandemic , she has generally been working closer to her home base in Sun Valley , Idaho .
